Full set of these for $1,000. Mustang would look mean as hell and I could sell the ugly winter rims to get some of the money back.

1000 isn’t too tough to justify, especially if you can offset it a bit by selling your current ones... But adding the cost of rubber to the total might make me wince.
Every time I tossed around the idea of buying wheels for my bmw, something substantial would break. Hopefully you have better luck.

Well I have rubber, I would swap the winter tires to the stock rims and my summer tires to the new rims. Figure I can sell the other rims for ~$500 and it’s seeming less bad..

Thats not too bad imo. How much do they weigh?
I was looking at these for the Mini:
and they were $233 a piece. for 16x7.

These have been on my “wheel porn” list since I first saw the Hoonicorn. I say go for it.

I like stock rims better, but it’s up to you, and they won’t look bad !
I’d like to get the 2.0 stinger wheels for my car, smaller wheels means I can get larger tyres, more comfort, harder to destroy, better fuel economy (225 vs 255s), and easier to drift!

There are some knock offs of these on Tire Rack.

I think they are heavy, this would be my one form over function mod. I did drop 45lbs by doing my exhaust so it’d probably equal out.

Same, I fell in love with these and couldn’t afford them for the FiST. Now I’m in a better spot to drop a bit of cash for the Mustang to shine.

Even better! Wasn’t sure if you were planning to go bigger or wider, or if your current rubber was even worth using. If you like em, go for it. You could recoup those costs from the change that you collect from under the passenger seat. Hopefully they’re lighter than the ones you’ll be replacing, for added bonus.

I will never dissuade someone from buying fifteen52 wheels. Do it

I’m running 255s right now and these new rims would allow for something wider in the future (I’m thinking 275). They are still 19s so no issue there either. Looking like it might happen.

They seem so high quality.

I stumbled into this photo from the Torch article about Compomotive rally wheels and now I need these on my car. Too bad they are $350 each plus shipping from the UK.
EDIT: And down the rabbit hole I go. Apparently Demon Tweeks sells them in Mini size for $880 for a set of 4. That falls down into justifiable territory.

Comfort and fuel economy aren’t necessarily at the forefront of this decision. For once I just want something pretty on my car.

Fwiw, if you went 20"s iirc there is much more tire availability, and for less than comparable 19" rubber... Of course, they would be heavier and you’d be unable to reuse the current tires. Food for thought though.

Those could probably look quite good on a mustang! is it a boostang or a Coyote?

Unfortunately I’m kind of stuck in the 19" realm for awhile at least. I have 2 sets of 19s. Even going down to 18" might be better eventually.

Boostang, I replaced my FiST with it about a year ago. I have the Performance Pack and Power Pack so it’s got 335hp/390tq (and an exhaust but power gains on that are hard to judge). It’s been a fun car so far and it’ll be back on the track at some point this year.

good choice, I love the boostang... I like it more than the other stangs except the voodoo

I do want to check out a Stinger at some point, maybe I’ll try to schedule a test drive soon.

the 3.3 is an absolute monster, I can’t say I regret getting it, but as with the mustang, it’s a better car with the 2.0. It is quite heavy though, I genuenly wonder why because it’s CERTAINLY not sound insulation... I think it’s Hyundai being a steel manufacturer and avoiding aluminum like the plague
Rant over: it’s a great car, and when my uncle saw it he said of it “Esta naquisimo, pero no tanto como un mustang” Which I guess is... good?

From a cost and performance perspective, the 18's might actually be all-around better since they’ll be cheaper and lighter... If they’ll clear the brakes. 19's are just fine though, especially if you already have them and are comfortable with the tire selection and price.

New on their website right now, sale goes on for another 2 weeks so I have time to let the money burn a bigger hole in my pocket.

You’d be getting them in bronze right

Of course, Hoonicorn style.

Ooh, OK.
Just remember that 1 lb of unsprung weight can feel like 10 lb of sprung weight.

Fifteen52 stole designs too, so it’s only fair.
